 Tino Villanueva es originario
de San Marcos, Texas. Se ha distinguido como escritor y editor dentro del campo de la literatura Chicana. Tiene el grado de
doctor de Letras Hispanas por Boston University, donde es preceptor de español. Ha sido merecedor de la beca Ford Foundation
Graduate Fellowship, obteniendo el grado de maestría en Suny-Buffalo. Entre sus publicaciones más destacadas
se cuentan Hay otra voz, Shaking Off the Dark, Crónica de mis años peores y Scene
from the Movie Giant. Desde 1973 Tino es también artista plástico, habiendo expuesto su obra creativa en
El Paso, Berlín Occidental y Boston, apareciendo más recientemente en las portadas de Nexos, Green Mountain
Review y TriQuaterly. Tino Villanueva is from San Marcos, Texas. He is a well known writer and editor
in the field of Chicano Literature. He holds a PhD in Spanish Literature by Boston University, where he is preceptor of Spanish.
He has been the recepient of the Ford Foundation Graduate Fellowship, obtaining a masters degree from Suny-Buffalo. Amid his
most outstanding publications are Hay otra voz, Shaking Off the Dark, Chronicle of My Worst Years
and Scene from the Movie Giant. Sice 1973 Tino is also an artist in painting, having exposed his creative work in
El Paso, West Berlin and Boston, appearing more recently in the covers of Nexos, Green Mountain Review and TriQuarterly.
